The concession of the village

When Patriarch Youhanna Makhlouf arrived at Fakhr al-Din’s place, the latter embraced him with great respect. It so happened that at that time, the Muslims living in the village of Majdel meouch killed each other and there were many dead so they agreed to sell the village and leave. As a result, the Emir bought it and offered it to the Christians. The Patriarch set up his seat there and had a house and a church built for him and it is from this village that he set off to Jerusalem.
