stigmatisation according to Marie Julie Jahenny, 27 September 1880

Such terrible pain, it was as if rolls of flesh inside had forced themselves between the bones and the skin which swelled the outer flesh....while on my back, at the centre, on the spine, I felt as if there were metal wires....I felt as if my flesh was close to a great fire.....In my arms to the end of my fingers was a pain that circulated, which came and went, but I am not able to explain these pains...my mouth was too small or too narrow for my tongue....

A fit of ecstasy 27 Sept. 1880
